As you read this, I am high in the Rocky Mountains. Hot dry days and cool clear nights: that’s life in the mountains. Every morning in the heights is amazing. The changing colors of the snow-crusted peaks bring a sense of awe and wonder. Between the climate, the view, and the sense of wonder, why would anyone want to come down? I forgot to mention that I visit the mountains only in the summer, because the winters are bitter. Temperatures plunge to frigid levels; snow closes every pass and sidewalk. I guess what I am saying is no matter were we are, Wisconsin or Colorado, if we wait a few minutes, the climate will change and the view will be different.
In life, change is a constant - sometimes great and sometimes distressful. Are you personally prepared for the cycle? Jesus said, "Look up when change appears to be overwhelming, unbearable, without relief...your redemption is right at hand."
As you search the site for doctrinal or programming preferences, recognize that the most important aspect of life cannot be measured through the printed page. I recommend you visit a service and allow the GBCC family to share their hearts with you. Our desire is to meet you where you are and be supportive as you continue to drive toward spiritual wholeness. Enjoy the site, but remember to come and enjoy the people who call GBCC home.
Yours in the family,
Joe Urcavich, Senior Pastor
