GBCC Launched E-Newsletter!
GBCC has started publishing a bi-weekly e-newsletter called eCommunity. All events, programs, and important information about the church is listed in this publication.

You can subscribe to the e-newsletter this minute by clicking on the eCommunity icon on the right side of your screen, fill out the form, click on "Submit" and you're in! Should you choose to unsubscribe to eCommunity, you can do that very easily by clicking on "Unsubscribe" in the body copy of any upcoming e-newsletter.

If you do not have access to personal emails, do not despair. You can pick up a printed copy of eCommunity in the newspaper racks after church on Sundays. Our hope is to have very few printed copies in an effort to be good stewards of church and world resources. So, please, subscribe and encourage your friends to do the same.

If you have questions, please contact Pat Jelen, patj@gbcommunitychurch.com.

Christmas time is filled with all kinds of activities: decorating, shopping, visiting friends and family, baking delicious treats, attending holiday parties . . . the list goes on and on!  With all the hustle and bustle of the season, it can be easy to miss what Christmas is really about.  On December 18 GBCC's Children's Ministry is hosting a family-friendly Birthday Party for Jesus from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. in the Chapel to reflect on the true meaning of Christmas.  The evening will consist of Christmas carols, a short animated movie called "The Very First Noel," a birthday cake presentation, and a time to enjoy cake with family and friends.  Children must attend with an adult, but adults are welcome on their own!

To underscore our focus on the real meaning of Christmas that evening, we will be sponsoring a Toy Drive for Freedom House, a homeless shelter for families in Green Bay.  Please bring a new (wrapped) toy to the party, and place a label on the outside of the package stating the contents.  Freedom House has kids of all ages, so remember the teens too (gift cards are great for that age group).

We're so excited to share this special evening with children and adults from the GBCC community.  Consider inviting a friend or two down the street, and join us on December 18.  We hope to see you there!

If anyone has perennial plants in their yard and could take some time to collect seeds, we could use them at church. If you have perennial grasses, we'd like short ones only- like side oats gramma or little blue stem. We are transforming a couple of berms into wildflower beds and we could use all the seeds we can get. The berm on the north end of the west parking lot and the one on the west side of the east parking lot will be planted this fall. The berms will provide color all summer long once they mature. Native Wisconsin plants would obviously do well in our climate. We're going for a prairie look with emphasis on wildflowers for color. Please drop off seeds at the Welcome Center on weekends.
