Vision casting has a huge impact on any ministry.  As a ministry leader, if you were asked what your greatest challenge is, how would you reply? Many ministry leaders feel strongly that the biggest issues they face are issues pertaining to recruiting.

Why do some leaders face recruiting challenges while others seem to have volunteers standing in line to serve? The problem is almost never truly recruiting.  The problem of recruiting usually stems from the lack of vision or a lack of vision casting.  Successful ministry leaders cast a vision for their ministry that is vibrant, exciting, and people can connect with.  They communicate it with feeling and enthusiasm so that people are ready to jump on board.  Often leaders that struggle in many areas are struggling first with creating and communicating a solid vision.

Think of successful ministry leaders that you know.  Do they paint a vision for their ministry? How? What can you do differently that will get people excited to jump on board as volunteers and as event attendees?
