Serving at Green Bay Community Church
We often hear people say that they felt a sense of belonging at GBCC when they volunteered to serve. In 1 Peter 4:10-11 scripture tells us that "each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms…If anyone serves he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ…"

GBCC is committed to creating a model that reflects God's love – a model for service that is a culmination of hearts and hands living out God's word with more than lip service.

Volunteers are indispensable. It is through their support and service that the church's vital programs are accomplished.  We acknowledge that everything we are, and everything we have, is a gift from God. That's why our KidsQuest volunteers, our ushers, the people who make coffee  — people serving in all areas — donate their talents and time. The volunteer at the Welcome Center, the person who sets up the stage, the people who clean the bathrooms, the pastor... all are used by God to show the world His love. The midweek bible study or support group leader, the person who cuts the lawn or weeds the flowerbeds, the administrative volunteer... all serve God and our guests.  Volunteer positions are open to all individuals who meet the qualifications for each specific position - you don't need to be a member of GBCC to volunteer – you just need a heart for service.

You can serve once in a while or on a regular basis.

Great opportunities are available in the community and within our Feet to your Faith Teams. As with GBCC, the needs in the community and the world include short-term and on-going partnerships. Explore the possibilities:

Set up a Meeting
Sometimes it's helpful to meet individually with a staff person. We look forward to serving as a liaison to serving opportunities that fit your interest and availability. Contact Colleen Connors, 920-593-3485 or colleenc@gbcommunitychurch.com.

If Green Bay Community Church is truly your church home, service will inevitably become a part of your life. Pray and consider where you might best serve others. "Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in various forms."
-1 Peter 4: 8-10
