Day 41: Experiencing God's love together

Posted on

Our opportunity

Approximately 120,000 people walked through the Green Bay Community Church doors in 2014, more than the entire population of Green Bay. That number reflects attendance at Sunday services, weekly classes and groups, special events and community programs.

Our direction

Matthew 22: 37-39 — Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'

Our value

We desire to share the hope of Jesus Christ with all people in the Green Bay area and walk with them as they become members of the spiritual family. In that process we are a transforming community of families that are loving God and others. When disciples of Jesus gather we are promised that He is present. In His presence we seek direction and encouragement from each other. We are a community where people can hear God’s truth, experience his love and grace and respond to him with freedom. The Ripple Initiative will enable us to grow as a church body and reach even more people with the gospel message.

Our prayer

Lord, thank you that so many people can gather together at Community Church. Help us to reach our goal of creating more spaces and opportunities to share the hope of Christ through the Ripple Initiative. Thank you for creating us in your image. May we reflect your love as we relate to others. Let your Holy Spirit move in our hearts so that as Christ followers we have a desire to serve others. We are grateful for the gifts you have given each of us. Help us to take those gifts and live out our faith. May everyone who enters GBCC feel welcome and loved, and may your presence be evident to them. Allow more people to come through our doors in the coming year, and as we serve them may your name be glorified.
