Tricia loves making introductions, and that makes her the perfect Go Director. Her job is to connect people within the church to any service opportunities that take place outside the four walls of GBCC—whether it’s local, national, or international. She gathers information from organizations looking for volunteers, then brings those needs to individuals and small groups who are looking to work as the hands of Christ outside of GBCC.
Tricia grew up in Waupaca in a Christian home, and she remembers making the personal decision to follow Christ at an AWANA meeting at the age of eleven. After high school she moved to Chicago to attend Moody Bible Institute. While working with the youth ministry at Willow Creek Community Church, she met Troy, and they married in 1989. Today, they have four daughters—Lauren, Jackie, Hailee, and Allie. Tricia loves people, but she finds she recharges best in times of solitude. She enjoys cooking, reading (fiction mostly), and hopes to get back to writing someday. She loves a good laugh and gravitates toward comedy films, though when asked about her favorite book, she picks the weighty One Thousand Gifts by Ann Voskamp because of the writer’s detailed expression of the beauty in the small things. If she could choose a skill to have, she’d love to be able to sing better, and on her bucket list? She’d like to travel with friends.
