Damian LaCroix

Damian LaCroix

Damian was born in Madison. He attended church with his family, but it wasn’t until he was 30 years old that he realized something was missing from his life. He was a high school principal in Pulaski when he met Gill Byrd whose sons attended the school at the time. Damian says he’d never met a man who lived his faith and loved God so openly as Gil. Drawn to Christ through that witness, Damian turned his life over to God.

Damian and Melissa were married in 1992 and began attending GBCC in 1999. They have four children—Maxwell, Zachariah, Abe, and Abigail—and much of his time outside of work and ministry is spent attending their kids’ sporting events. He is the Superintendent of Schools in the Howard-Suamico District, so it’s not surprising that his passion in ministry is teaching and administration. He’s particularly interested in men’s ministry where he occasionally teaches. With what time he has left, he enjoys hanging out with his family and BBQ’ing. If he had a bucket list, he’d begin with visiting Boston and other places of significance to American history, and when he gets to heaven, he looks forward to being able to “play the piano and sing and worship in excellence.”
