Emily organizes small group lesson plans and coordinates volunteers for Sunday morning classes. She loves working with kids and families and seeing how God is working through them.
"It is amazing to see the volunteers building relationships with the kids each Sunday,” said Emily, who joined the GBCC staff in 2018. "We have so much fun in The Cave (Room 112) building relationships and learning about God."
Emily is a Kaukauna native, studied communications and media studies at St. Norbert and currently is enrolled at UW - Green Bay with the intent of becoming an elementary teacher.
Emily grew up believing in God and said faith was always present in her family. She started attending GBCC in 2015 and made a personal decision to commit her life to Christ in 2017 when she was baptized.
Emily and her fiancé Tony plan to get married in 2019. When she isn’t working or studying, Emily spends time with family and friends, hangs out with her two cats, reads, goes for walks exploring nature and listens to music. She would like to one day travel the world.
When asked to share a life lesson, Emily said: "I have learned that life is about being present in every moment, not wishing for something different or hoping things would go by faster. But just being fully present in whatever the moment may be because you will never get another one exactly like it."
