What are your Holy Spirit leadings?

by Green Bay Community Church on March 15, 2020

What is the Holy Spirit leading you to do to show the love of Christ to others during these uncertain times?

Here are some submitted ideas from people who watched our 8:15 and 10 am services online this morning:

*I was thinking about all the people in high risk groups who maybe need groceries or medications etc. Could we possibly connect with them to pick up things and help limit their exposure to the virus?

*Lead by example in your life by letting go of panic and leaning into God.

*Give words of gratitude and encouragement to our health care workers.

*We should bring our 'church tables' to homes and gather to celebrate church together as long as this 'new norm’ lasts.

*Bringing your extras to someone who may have not have gotten to the store in time.

*Reach out and check on loved ones with physical and mental health concerns.

*Get our kids involved. Our children can have profound leadings from the Spirit. Involve them in your discussions of how to be the love of Christ to those around us.

*Bring baked goods or treats to the hospital for the doctors and nurses.

*Pray with people that have fear and panic, reminding them God sees them.

*Bicycle ride and chat. Adults with disabilities ministry will be planning some rides and you're welcome to join (810.300.7874)

*My 80-year-old mother told me yesterday we all just need to do our little part. She is making calls to friends to check on them and pray with them.

*Help each other with childcare, help with schoolwork, etc.

*While we are out and about in our communities, a simple smile to remind others it’s okay! Our almighty God is in control.

*We cannot give up calling friends and family during this time and checking in on our more vulnerable groups.

*Be a positive light so others can see it and feel there is hope and this is temporary and will pass.

*Have kids make cards to be sent to assisted and memory care centers since many are on lockdown and the residents can’t get visitors.

*Someone I know who is quarantined arranges for porch visits and care packages. Her friends drive by and chat for a few minutes from their car. Others made little care packages or brought food to share.

*Hoping to do a kickball game in the backyard with grandkids and neighborhood kids to expel some energy and love on them.

*Virtual family bible studies so our children can keep their face on the Lord while they are missing their time with others.

*Do a weekly bible study with my sons and some friends, and make that available via video to others.
