The primary purpose of the Facilities Lead is to ensure a clean and safe environment at Community by performing indoor and outdoor maintenance and custodial tasks in a fast-paced environment. This is one of two positions that work in conjunction to ensure all tasks are completed.
The ideal candidate will have experience in and a working knowledge of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC maintenance procedures and security. They will also be knowledgeable in proper methods, materials and equipment used in a variety of building cleaning, sanitizing and preservation work.
They must have the physical strength and stamina necessary to perform the required work indoors and outdoors, such as being able to bend, stoop, kneel, shovel, move furniture and work on feet for long periods of time. They must have the ability to recognize unsightly, unsafe or unsanitary conditions wherever they occur and take appropriate action to rectify.
The candidate must be able to use a computer to order supplies, maintain inventory and develop and maintain vendor relationships. The candidate should have a proven ability to recruit, train and manage volunteers. The candidate must be a maturing believer aligned with GBCC’s vision, values and philosophy.
