Day 11: Providing spaces for youth
Our opportunity
Wednesday Nights are full of activity at Community Church with Middle School Ministry and Children’s Ministry, to the point that we are reaching room capacity.
Our direction
Mark 10: 13-16 — People were bringing little children to Jesus for him to place his hands on them, but the disciples rebuked them. When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” And he took the children in his arms, placed his hands on them and blessed them.
Our value
At Community we value relationships. This means we know that children, youth and families need a place to gather to build relationships and share their feelings and faith. We love that our spaces are filled with youth trying to learn more about themselves and God in small groups, classes and programs. We are thankful that God provides spaces for our groups to meet.
Our prayer
Lord, thank you so much for the children and youth that fill our rooms throughout the week. Thank you that children can attend classes to learn more about You. As our youth fill this space, please draw them closer to You.
