Our opportunity

There were 262 children ranging in age from 4 to 10 that participated in Vacation Bible School (VBS) at GBCC in the summer of 2014, along with 137 student and adult leaders.

Our direction

Deuteronomy 6: 6-7 — These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.

Our value

We believe it’s important to present the gospel message of Jesus Christ to children, and that happens every year at VBS. Kids hear Bible stories and learn that Jesus died for their sins and offers eternal life to anyone who puts their trust in Him. Committed adults devote their time, talent and energy to shepherd children in a fun atmosphere that includes singing, Bible-based activities  and straightforward teaching from the scriptures. The Ripple Initiative will give us more space and opportunities to minister to children on our campus.

Our prayer

Lord, we thank you for the children who have attended VBS over the years and heard the gospel message. Thank you for the adults who volunteer each year and have a heart for kids, and bring us more committed leaders who are willing to give of their time and talents. Please prepare the hearts of children who will attend VBS from June 22-26 this year. May the theme of VBS week -- it's possible to conquer challenges with your mighty power -- make a life-changing impact on both children and adults.
