Our opportunity

DivorceCare is a support group that helps bring healing and understanding of the hurt that comes from separation and divorce. Nearly 50 people participated in the group in 2014 at GBCC. DivorceCare for Kids is also offered for ages 5 to 12 and helps children deal with grief.

Our direction

Psalms 6: 7-9 — My eyes grow weak with sorrow; they fail because of all my foes. Away from me, all you who do evil, for the Lord has heard my weeping. The Lord has heard my cry for mercy; the Lord accepts my prayer.

Our value

We value ministries that come along to care and support those who are grieving divorce or separation.  When one part of the body suffers we all suffer.  We want people to move toward wholeness and encounter Jesus Christ, who brings healing to broken people so they can minister to others who are broken. 

Our prayer

Father, thank You that You are near to the broken hearted who are experiencing the pain of divorce and separation.  Give them hope in the midst of their grief and hurt when they feel they can’t go on and just want the pain to stop.  Bring them a friend who understands and can walk with them as they grieve.  Thank You for those who enter into the ministry of divorce.
