Day 21: Life is a vapor, so make it count

Posted on

Our opportunity

Vapor Ministries receives the largest share of GBCC’s Go Ministry financial support. This nonprofit organization utilizes the favorite sport of a Third World environment, in this case Haiti and soccer, as the means to connect with people in need. The hope is Haitian lives will be transformed and the result will be passionate hearts carrying out local ministry work.

Our direction

Phil. 2:2-4 — Then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.

Our value

As believers we are called to care and be engaged with sharing Christ’s love in our own community as well as in the world, and the Ripple Initiative will enable us to expand those efforts. We have come alongside the leaders of Vapor to help provide the needs of children while building the capacity of learning skills and having clean water in different areas of the world. We provide financially, and through sharing time and talents every year when there is an opportunity to go and serve on foreign soil.

Our prayer

Lord, we are so thankful for our partners at Vapor.  Thank you for the leadership of Micah and Audrey and their team of people.  Thank you for the opportunity to be connected with a ministry that serves children and communities in Third World countries. Please bless and multiply their efforts today.  Thank you for being near them, even when they are far from us.
