Our opportunity

GBCC’s Family Movie Night has taken place six times and has grown from 250 people to a high of 545 attendees. If you include the dozens of volunteers, nearly 600 people were on hand this past Wednesday for the latest movie night. Our concessions sold out, with more than $1,000 raised for Feed My Starving Children.

Our value

We love gathering people together for nights that include family, food and fun. It’s even better when the money raised by such events goes to help feed hungry children in other parts of the world. Most of our proceeds are committed to meeting the needs of the Haitian people by partnering with Feed My Starving Children, a non-profit Christian organization committed to feeding God’s children physically and spiritually. During the latest movie night our gym was essentially packed to capacity. GBCC's Ripple Initiative will provide more space to host family-oriented events that support good causes. 

Our prayer

Lord, thank you that dads, moms and children can gather together on our campus for events where the atmosphere is safe, inviting and family friendly. Thank you that we can enjoy a night of entertainment and at the same time raise money for people in other countries who are in need. Help us to never forget the less fortunate, and encourage us to pour out our blessings on others, as You have done to us.
