Day 3: We need each other

Posted on

Our opportunity

Not including Sunday services, 104 different rooms are reserved this week at Community Church for various events. Depending on the day and week, our campus could host a wedding, funeral, blood drive, election polling place, workshop, conference, children’s class, adult Bible study, youth group and a multitude of other special events put on by outside organizations. We are busy doing life with others.

Our direction

Acts 2:42 — All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supperi]), and to prayer.

Our value

One of the core values of Community throughout its history has been relationship building. We truly need each other. Life gets busy and having intentional relationships is a way to provide hope, accountability and joy to our lives.  God designed us to have relationships with each other. He doesn't want us alone.

Our prayer

Lord, we thank you for knowing that we need relationship. We pray that you soften our hearts to You and others around us.  Please help us to see the needs in the people around us, and then to have the courage to try to help. Please give us wisdom to know the words to share or actions to take to share your love.  Where there is loneliness please bring a friend. Open our eyes to see others as you see them — beautiful in your sight.
