Our opportunity

A total of 525 women attended the annual Women’s Christmas Celebration in the Community Church gym in December.

Our direction

Isaiah 9:6 — For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Our value

One long standing tradition at Community Church is our Women’s Christmas Celebration that gathers hundreds of women for delicious food and the warmth of celebrating Christ’s birth.  Even in the midst of a busy season, women gather to share this event with neighbors, friends and family. It is always a gift to meet new women and to celebrate the treasured friendships of others. We value the opportunity to share the joy of Christmas with the women of our community. The Ripple Initiative will enable GBCC to host more large gatherings where the name of Jesus is proclaimed.

Our prayer

God, thank you for the opportunity for hundreds of women to gather to celebrate the birth of Jesus. We pray that you will prepare the hearts of women to hear the message and joy of celebrating Christ’s birth and your plan for salvation through Him. Thank you to the hundreds of women who attend each year, and to the many women who volunteer with putting together this event.  Please help us to keep the joy of Christmas in our hearts throughout the year.
