Day 4: Serving those in need
Our opportunity
Green Bay Community Church provided 132 families with benevolence funds over the past year, from food to gas to other needs.
Our direction
Matthew 25:40 —The King will reply, 'Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.'
Our value
Following Jesus means that we serve others. It means we move from "watching" to "living" as servants. God has uniquely gifted every one of us to serve people and that interaction will bring glory to Himself.
Our prayer
God, give us a heart for the needy. May the love of Christ be evident in the way we extend a helping hand to others. You have blessed us richly, and may we in turn reflect your generosity and love to the poor, hungry, sick and homeless in our community.
