Day 7: Defending the weak and poor
Our opportunity
A total of 881 school children were identified as homeless in Brown County by the Homeless Liaisons of each school district.
Our direction
Psalm 82:3 -- Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed.
Our value
Jesus spoke about the value of little children. It’s our desire that no child gets left behind, and we want to expand our efforts to help those in need through our proposed Care Center as well as the many classes we offer to strengthen families.
Our prayer
God, show us ways to minister to homeless children in our area. May we have a heart for little ones whose families are broken. May we show them the love of Jesus. Give us resources to meet their immediate physical needs, and opportunities to build up families and parents spiritually.
